Sony VCT-60AV Remote Control Tripod for use with Sony Camcorders

  1. Wow I was really impressed when I took it out of the box. I started making the tripod legs fully extended, the included quick release plate on my Sony HDR-SR11, and connected remotely with my camera.

First I would say this is much more robust, even on thick carpet, light weight but strong and perfect for the HDR-SR11.

The bundled remote control has been excellent and worth the price Solo:

slow zoom function, this alone is worth the $ 70 , it adds a dramatic effect on your video are great! Set up very well with a switch to toggle the zoom on the left side of the handle slowly and a remote-controlled inch W / T rocker on the top of the jog dial.

Frame-This is another function is not in my car, but added to this tripod. Turns out that actually quite useful, especially when trying to different people / objects in one shot to get. The right grid drawn on the screen (also shown in the viewfinder) is divided into nine sections to help define and places subject.

All in all I am very happy with this tripod, I shoot a marriage of a friend in June and this should do the trick very well, with a smooth fluid Pan Tilt, and added features above can not wait to see the finished product.

  2. It is a remote stand, which means that a remote control to stand on a number of functions on the camera itself has no control over the function of the tripod in any way to manage, it is not motorized. Moreover, the RM-AV2 Remote Control recommended but not necessary for any reason, with this tripod. It is thought that Tripod does not have built in remote. Built at a distance on / off, zoom in / out, like the camera or doing a slow zoom in and out, take a picture and start / stop the camera. If the surgery is “Tripod”, but it is easy to install and feels very solid.

  3. Large tripod with remote for Sony Handycam typical operational type (recording start / stop, zoom, capture photos). Selectable super slow zoom feature really adds a dramatic effect. Pan and tilt are very fluid and power adjustable with buttons. I’m 6’4 “and height is good for me. No batteries are needed because it is powered by connecting A / V on my HDR-SR11. Easily stored in the supplied canvas bag-like. Extremely light, stable and well built machine.

  4. I bought this after much research as I always do before a purchase. I am amazed at the skill! His light and yet very well built. I read a lot about ctiticism-function remote control. I do not know what else that customers expect. The functionality is really helpul to operate the camera without the main body of the camera away. And, finally, the always reliable Sony quality. . . . maintained at all small parts.

  5. I bought this product based on what Sony has its functionality and design. The remote is a typical example of this device, but the connection to the Sony LANC connector is NOT compatible with Sony HDR FX1 model professional and prosumer HDR HC7. The photo on the site is not clear and allow me to believe that this is what I just saw at Sony. When I drive was beautiful and well packaged, but was this funky head semi elliptical instead of 1 / 8 “plug-radio, as shown by Sony and other pictures of this remote tripod combo. I was very disappointed in Amazon and the Seller does not have a picture of the connector. This perspective to inform customers that it can not be for you.
